Summer school is an all-English event

Composed of plenary lectures and a workshop for the creation of scientific projects at the interface of our disciplines, the Summer School program covers all aspects of interactions between organisms, from the molecular level to the eco-evolutionary scale of interactions within populations and communities.

The Summer School welcomes 25 candidates each year

Who can apply ?

The Summer School is open to :

• Doctoral students (~15 places)
• Master's students (~5)
• Post-doctoral researchers (~5)

Selected candidates will have the opportunity to :
Actively participate in the development of a team research project proposal in these scientific fields
Meet senior and junior researchers from the Toulouse, Moulis and Perpignan research units
Enjoy a pleasant setting in the Pyrenees

Program

The list of speakers is currently being drawn up, and the program will be available soon. We are planning to evolve this event, although the program will be relatively similar to that of Summer School 24, 22 and 23.
In short, the mornings will be devoted to 2 or 3 presentations, and the afternoons to a workshop on building a scientific project at the interface between the themes that bring us together.
One day will be set aside to enjoy the surrounding environment, take a break in this relatively dense week, and strengthen the bonds between participants.

There will also be a moment of exchange between art and science as part of the artistic program of the association that runs the Germ Mountain Center, where we'll be staying.

Practical information

The event will be held for the second time at the Germ Louron Mountain Center, a highly appreciated working environment, with a team that has warmly accepted to welcome us once again and is very enthusiastic about the idea of hosting the Summer School.

Accommodation and meals will be provided for all participants. No registration fee is required.
Travel from Toulouse to the Pyrenees is paid for and organized by TULIP.

• Meals are prepared using mainly local produce
• Vegetarian dishes are also available
• Bed sheets is provided
• The event is accessible to people with reduced mobility, within the limits of the venue's capacity.

Travel costs to and from Toulouse are not covered by TULIP. We do not offer scholarships to cover these costs. The Summer School is a business trip for training purposes, so you can ask your laboratory/university to cover this cost, or apply for various mobility grants.
We don't ask you to have the funding at the time of application, but it is a requirement in April. If we don't have the funding, we will offer the place to another candidate.

Applications will be examined and ranked by researchers from the TULIP community, based on the quality of the information provided and the consistency of your research with the Summer School themes.

Selected candidates will be notified around early to mid-April.
